Mission and Vision

NDCA Mission Statement

Notre Dame Catholic Academy is a God-centered community that embraces and respects the diversity of each individual. This is accomplished through an academically challenging and technologically advanced education that enables our students to become productive and caring members of society.

School Vision

Notre Dame Catholic Academy will empower its students to be directors of their own learning, with the teacher serving as the guide along each child’s academic and spiritual journey. In the future we plan to be a relevant, Catholic institution, where we will continue to move forward, in this technology age, and provide our students with a current and meaningful education.

Our God-centered environment, love of education, and determination to succeed will provide the ground work to achieve our goals. As a Catholic institution we will be known community wide for being a beacon of light to all who enter our doors.

Many Things Make Our Academy Special

We have 5 free NYCDOE  Pre K For All classes available, two Nursery classes for 3-year olds, and three Pre K classes for 4-year olds. We have also implemented enrichment programs such as the Common Core Integrated Algebra 1 Program and the Earth Science Regents Program to challenge our students to reach beyond their potential. Our students will have their learning enhanced through the use of SMART Board/Promethean Board technology, 1:1 devices and a STEM Lab.

Our dedication to Catholic Education is a strong, driving force at NDCA. We are a community that practices and shares our faith. Students participate in monthly liturgies, daily prayers, and special prayer services. NDCA is also a school dedicated to service. Throughout the school year students collect food, clothes and money for different charitable organizations. The student government of Notre Dame Catholic Academy enables students of all grade levels, Nursery through Eighth Grade to participate and understand the value of school service.

Notre Dame Catholic Academy has met the criteria for educational quality established by the Cognia Global Commission and is hereby Cognia Accredited.

Our school has been certified as a school that best exemplifies excellence in education and stands out in our service to learners, based on a rigorous accreditation process.

What We Believe

Notre Dame Catholic Academy is a learning environment that focuses on teaching and guiding each child individually. Our core emphasis is to teach as Jesus did and share the Gospel values with everyone we meet.

Our faculty is one of experience and dedication. They are committed to providing the highest quality of spiritual and academic education to our students.

Our aim is to provide each student with the resources to become global citizens based on the tenets of Catholic Education. We are proud to announce that every year our graduates earn scholarships to Catholic high schools and many are also accepted to prestigious public high schools as well.

Our educational program emphasizes four key areas:

Faith, Scholarship, Community, and Service.

We aim to be the best we can be!

The teachers, administrators and staff at Notre Dame Catholic Academy are united in their belief that all children have the power to learn, are curious and creative, and can succeed.

No two students have exactly the same skills or learning style. That’s why we create an individual learning plan for every child. Your plan will combine direct instruction, small-group work, and one-on-one tutoring in a way that works for your student.
